At just 225 square feet, this small kitchen was tight, dark, and in dire need of an update. The goal was to create a fresh, welcoming space for the clients to raise their young family in. The space is grounded by soft neutrals, with unexpected details throughout that bring out the clients’ personality.

The concept draws from the easygoing feel of California interiors, with warm neutrals, playful patterns, and simple forms. Clean-lined flat slab cabinetry and durable quartz countertops keep the space practical and unfussy, while tile flooring and a removable vinyl bench cushion stand up to everyday family life.

Striped tile marks the two thresholds, bold wallpaper adds pattern and colour, and silver hardware brings an unexpected edge. The result is a bright, relaxed kitchen that feels fresh and a little playful.
